Responders reported a barge and its towed vessel were on fire in San Diego Bay and they ordered nearby craft to stand clear while Harbor Police worked to bring the tow to dock.

Maritime VHF traffic fell sharply this week to 373 transmissions compared with 616 the prior week. Hail calls showed the largest change dropping from 342 to 224. Sécurité transmissions stayed near the low 60s while Pan Pan calls fell from eight to zero and daily activity shifted from weekend peaks to a Friday high.
